Steve specializes in working with owner-managed businesses, professionals and individuals. He received his CA designation in 1987 and opened his own firm in 1995. He believes that focusing on client success will lead to his success, and has incorporated this philosophy into his firm.

Steve is currently the Treasurer for his Church and has previously served on the Boards of Big Brothers and the VON.

Jay Thomblison CPA, CA, TEP
Partner

Over the years Jay has worked with owner managed businesses in a wide range of industries, where he has developed his expertise in tax planning.

He received his CA designation in 1992 and completed his CICA In-Depth tax course, gaining his experience with both national and regional accounting firms before starting his own practice in 2003 and joining the partnership with Steve in 2009.

Jay has been an instructor of professional development courses through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and is an active Rotarian and has previously served as Treasurer for the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada.

Marie Rea
Senior Accounting Manager
Operations Manager

Marie is the first employee of the team, joining Steve in 1997. As well as working directly with clients, she is also the office manager. With over 20 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, she enjoys her relationships with existing clients as well as meeting new clients. She is our key trainer on QuickBooks, the small business accounting system.

In her spare time, Marie, a mother of 4, helps with a family business and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Agnes Jarzynowski
Senior Accounting Manager

Agnes is a graduate of Seneca College with a diploma in Accounting and Finance. She joined us in August of 2001 and enjoys working with clients to help solve their problems and create peace of mind.

Agnes is a mother of 2 young children, and when she is not busy at the office, she enjoys spending time with family, nature hiking and travelling.

Anna Vista CPA
Senior Accounting Manager

Anna started with the firm on an accounting co-operative term in January 2007 and has become a valuable member of our team ever since. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce (major in Accounting) at Ryerson University in August 2011 as well as her honours diploma in Business Management (major in Accounting) from Sheridan College. Anna received her CPA designation in 2021. She enjoys assisting clients with any accounting and bookkeeping issues they may have with their business. Clients often comment on how pleasant and easy going she is.

She enjoys travelling and visiting friends in different parts of the world.

Cathy O'Neill
Office Administrator
Receptionist

Cathy started with the firm in September 2006. She brings 20 years of experience in office management for small business entrepreneurs, as well as customer service experience in both the private and public sector. She has taken several management and customer service courses which enables her to perform her position as office administrator and receptionist with great ease. She enjoys the one on one contact with clients.

Away from the office, Cathy enjoys spending  time with her husband and 2 sons and travelling.

Cassie Bremer

Cassie began with the firm in September 2022. She is a graduate of Western University, earning both a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with an Honours Specialization in Accounting and her Graduate Diploma in Accounting there. She is currently working towards her CPA designation. Cassie enjoys working with clients to resolve their accounting and bookkeeping needs and expanding her accounting knowledge with each company she works with.

Cassie enjoys spending time with family and friends outside of the office, travelling, and reading a good book.

Jag Sidhu

Jag started with our firm in January 2021. He has 10 years’ experience working in public accounting. He graduated with Honours and earned a Business Accounting Diploma from Mohawk College in 2012 during which he worked an 8 month co-op term at the Regional Municipality of Halton in the Payroll Department. He has a strong background in bookkeeping and enjoys assisting clients with issues and training in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.

He enjoys being active and playing sports such as Basketball and Boxing and is a fan of all major Toronto sports teams with the Toronto Raptors being his #1 favourite.

Justina Zhang

Justina joined the team in January 2020. She graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2016 and started her career in the accounting world. She enjoys helping clients feel at ease as she guides them through any accounting issues

In her spare time, Justina enjoys summer outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking and hiking.

Nick Nathaniel

Nick started with the firm in August 2022. Nick is a 2021 graduate from Brock University where he obtained his Bachelor of Accounting degree. He enjoys learning about new industries and resolving unfamiliar situations while taking on new projects within the workplace. As Nick currently works towards earning his CPA designation, he prides himself in developing his skills and knowledge in taxation & assurance.

When he is not busy at the office, Nick spends his free time working out, travelling, and indulging in his interest in fashion.
